This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

**A pre-requisite for this unit is to be able to perform CPR on the floor for a period of 2 uninterrupted minutes and complete prior online learning.

Online Learning
You will require basic computer skills, access to a device and internet to access the compulsory prior online learning. Use of a tablet or computer is recommended. The duration to complete the online learning varies relative to your language and literacy skills, computer skills, prior knowledge and formal training and/or experience in the subject.

This training is accredited, on successful completion you will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Please allow 7 working days for this to be issued via email.
