Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care

This qualification covers workers in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector who are responsible for planning, implementing and managing programs within the requirements of Education and Care Services, National Regulations and the National Quality Standards. At this level, workers have responsibility for supervision of other staff and volunteers.

The Early Childhood Education and Care sector offers the opportunity to stimulate and inspire children through play based learning. An active and progressive sector, where every day is different, can provide a challenging and rewarding career path.

To be eligible to work in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector you must have a minimum qualification of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

QUALIFICATION

This is an entry level qualification for persons wishing to commence a career in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.

COMPLETION

Upon successful completion of this course students will be presented with a Nationally Recognised Certificate and Statement of Attainment.

DURATION

As a guide this qualification may be completed within 24 months.

DELIVERY

We hold Face to Face Early Childhood Education and Care classes in Naracoorte and Mount Gambier. Theory is online, students require a device (laptop or tablet) and internet access for outside of classes. The training is delivered by locally based qualified trainers.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • DHS Working with Children Check – (at own cost) – Child-Related Employment Screening
  • Ability to perform a minimum of 160 hours of work placement (can include paid work in Early Childhood Education and Care)
  • Capable of performing manual handling tasks
