Certificate III IN Individual Support

QUALIFICATION

This qualification addresses working within clearly defined organisational guidelines and service plans. Either in a residential facility under direct/regular supervision or in people’s homes without direct supervision.

  • Carry out activities related to an individualised plan

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.

COMPLETION

Upon successful completion of this course students will be presented with a Nationally Recognised Certificate and Statement of Attainment.

DURATION

As a guide, this course may be completed within 12-18 months.

DELIVERY

We hold Face to Face Individual Support classes in Naracoorte and Mount Gambier. The training is delivered by locally based qualified trainers.

  • Classroom based in Naracoorte and Mt Gambier - Once per week 9am-4pm
  • Evening Classes in Mt Gambier - Once per week 6pm-9pm (Pre reading of learning material will be required)
  • Blended Study - This study mode provides more flexibility, where you can complete the online learning and theory at a time convenient for you. You can also complete simulated assessments at a mutually agreed time for yourself and the assessor. You will still have your trainers support, which is available via phone, email, or face to face by appointment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • DHS Working with Children Check, NDIS Work Check and National Police Check. Checks are determined by work placement host or employer. All checks are at your own cost.
  • Ability to perform a minimum of 120 hours of work placement (can include paid work in the Industry)
  • Capable of performing manual handling tasks
  • Physical assessment (at own cost)
