Individual Support – Ageing (CHCSS00129) can provide you with a set of skills for providing person-centred support to older people in various settings, within the delegations of an established individualised plan.

Individual Support – Disability (CHCSS00130) can provide you with a set of skills for providing person-centred support to people with disability in various settings.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Individual Support – Ageing (CHCSS00129):
This Skill Set is for individuals who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in Community Services, Health or a related field, work in various care and support roles and who wish to develop skills in providing person-centred support to older people, within the delegations of an established individualised plan.

Individual Support - Disability (CHCSS00130):
This Skill Set is for individuals who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in Community Services, Health or a related field, work in various care and support roles and who wish to develop skills in providing person-centred support to people with disability.

Students must also participate in our Enrolment Application process to be considered for a training place with our organisation.

DELIVERY

Blended study

  • This study mode provides more flexibility
  • Complete the online learning and theory at a time convenient for you
  • Complete simulated assessments at a mutually agreed time for yourself and the assessor
  • Trainer support will be provided via phone, email, or face to face by appointment

Classroom based – Dependant on the time of enrolment - Either:

  • Day class once per week 9am-4pm OR
  • Evening class once per week 6pm-9pm

Online theory
Theory is online, students require a device (laptop or tablet), access to their email on their device and internet access. Mobile phones are not recommended. Internet access is provided when you are in class. You will require internet access for outside of class. All devices must be brought to the class room fully charged.

DURATION

As a guide, this course may be completed within 6 months.

COMPLETION

Achievement of your required units will provides credit towards a range of qualifications in the CHC Community Services Training Package.
